Houston, TX (Feb. 16, 2024) – A teenager was struck and killed while attempting to cross the street at Greenhouse Road near Cardinal Lake.
According to police, two vehicles struck the teen when she entered the roadway. She was first struck by a GMC pickup truck, which threw her further into the roadway. A second vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, struck the teen following the initial collision.
Both drivers reportedly cooperated with police and stayed on the scene following the incident.
A full investigation is currently underway by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
Officials on the scene did confirm that the teen was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. It was also noted that the area where the accident occurred is poorly lit.
