Parker County, Texas (May 28, 2024) – Four people are dead following a wrong-way crash along FM 51 in Parker County, including two nine-year-old children.
Early reports indicate that a Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on FM 51 shortly after 2 p.m. when a Subaru entered the opposing lane of traffic, striking the F-150.
The driver of the truck, Amber Rae Reed, survived the crash but is in the hospital with serious injuries. Reed was reportedly airlifted from the scene.
Four individuals lost their lives in the crash. The driver of the Subaru, identified as Kathryn Lain, and three passengers who were traveling in the F-150. The three victims in the truck have been identified as Gregory Daniel Schilb, along with two nine-year-old girls.
An investigation into this accident remains ongoing.
