Houston, Texas (Jan. 4, 2024) – A crash in the 11500 block of Highway 249 has claimed the lives of two people. 

According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. Reports indicate that the crash was a head-on collision involving a rideshare vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, along with their passenger, have been taken to the hospital and have been said to be in serious condition.

Police on the scene confirmed the deaths of two people in the same vehicle, an adult male believed to have been the driver and an adult female passenger. Speeding has been reported to have played a factor in this crash.

Earlier reports included CPR being administered to a child. However, an update from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that no child was involved in the crash.
